The 2019 season is here!

Dear MYC members,

I hope everyone enjoyed a happy and healthy winter. Looking at the snowbanks in around town it is hard to believe that we will be out on the water in less than two months! We plan to put the docks in the second or third week of May (permitted the snow at the club has melted).

The board has been busy these past few months knocking ideas around about the goals for our club for the upcoming season. The community of Marquette and the Yacht club are growing, and we want to make sure to maintain our integrity and adapt to the changes around us and within us.

As discussed in our year end meeting, we have established some committees to help organize and get things done. The committees are the Events, Outreach, Dock, Grounds and House, and the Rules committee. It is my hope that this will help us to continue to keep the MYC ship shape!

I cannot thank everyone enough for all of your volunteer efforts last season and look forward to working and relaxing with everyone again this year!

Our Treasurer will be sending out square invoices by email to those of you that stored your boats at the MYC grounds during the 2018-2019 winter months.  You can pay this amount online or print the invoice and mail it in with you membership dues.  Postal mailings will be going out this Friday.

The dock committee has met several times and everybody should have been contacted about their intention to dock this season.  Those members that were on the waiting list will or have been contacted about spots that have opened up.  Please direct any docking related questions to Michael Twohey. No changes were made to the dues and docking fee structure and everything will remain the same price as 2018.   Please find the Dues Notice, Dock agreement and all other memberships information by visiting the membership link, located at the top of our homepage.
